Peter Coveliers
Peter Coveliers is responsible for innovative Climate Action Funds and Structured Finance transactions within the EIB’s Climate Change and Energy Division where he holds the position of Deputy Head of Division. He has co-chaired EIB’s Centres of Expertise on Energy and Environment for the last 7 years and he has recently been promoted as the Bank’s expert on Climate and Energy Structured Finance and Funds.
Mr. Coveliers’ latest relevant transactions include NER 300, an EIB-COM programme for CCS and innovative renewable energy projects (EUR 4.8bn), Green for Growth Fund, a structured layered Fund targeting equity and debt investments in Turkey and Balkan area (EUR 150m), European Energy Efficiency Fund, a structured layered Fund targeting equity and debt investments in the EU 28 (EUR 700m), and Montalto di Castro Photo Voltaic Park bond issuance.
He is chairman of the Investment Committee of the Green for Growth fund and has a voting seat in the Management Board of the European Energy Efficiency Fund.
Born in Belgium, he is an HIID alumni (1998) and a graduate of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium in Engineering (1989).
