Cristiano Cannarsa

Cristiano Cannarsa joined Cassa Depositi e Prestiti as Head of Infrastructure Division in July 2007, being involved in more than 50 transactions (both corporate and project financing) at a total value of more than EUR 7 bn.

In 1991, Mr. Cannarsa joined Instituto Mobiliare Italiano, conducting technical and economic evaluations for industrial research projects before joining the Industrial and Infrastructure Division. He was involved in domestic and international project financing mainly in roads and power projects. Following the Sanpaolo-IMI merger, he was in charge in Banca OPI (fully owned by Sanpaolo IMI) at first of the Transportation Infrastructure Division and subsequently of one of the main business divisions (Infrastructure and Utilities Corporate and Project Financing) with over 35 specialists in corporate and project finance transactions (economic, technical and legal). He left Sanpaolo IMI group after the merger with Intesa in June 2007. He also served as a board member for Terna Spa.

Mr. Cannarsa graduated with honour at Rome University in Mechanical Engineering in 1986. Afterwards he gained comprehensive professional experience in the fields of renewable energy. Among others he was involved in the start up of the Taranto factory.
